coincidence? perhaps.

I spent three days with caylin where she lived all semester in santiago de compostella – a perfectly porportioned town complete with wonderful people from all over the place.

Yesterday caylin flew to barcelona at 7am. I flew in at 4 and – without knowing his flight information – was supposed to find dad in the airport. yes, the airport that has two very separate terminals.

i waited for 40 minutes where i thought he might potentially come out, but eventually gave up. just as i was reaching the door to the airport, i glanced back one last time. and, you guessed it – out he walked. we spent the next half-hour running around the airport using phones and talking to info desks because his bank card wasn´t working. we had lost caylin´s number, couldn´t remember where we were supposed to meet her, didn’t know when chelsi and steve would be arriving, had no idea how to get to barcelona, the list goes on. just as we were about to leave we walked around a corner and….

…there´s Chelsi! my other sister!! and what does she have?!?! A RING ON HER FINGER!! my sister´s engaged!! anyway, dad, chelsi, her fiance and i took a cab into the city thinking we´d find a cell phone and call caylin to meet up. well, there was no need to look any further for a phone because the second we stepped out of the cab caylin was literally on the corner where the taxi stopped. hillarious.

so long story short: nothing was working out and because of it, everything worked out.

that´s life. that´s god.
