i talked angela into staying another day in san sebastian. after a day on the beach we met a couple Swiss guys for tapas y copas (basically appetizers and drinks) at several bars around the old city….coming home close to 3:30am. not the best for walking 20km the next day.

as usual, we got lost nearly first thing (have you noticed how difficult it is to see some of the yellow markers we have to follow?! i´ll start taking photos of some of the more difficult ones to demonstrate) but quickly found our way and traveled yet another beautiful path right on the ocean. we met a wonderful spanish couple who were wonderful impromptu spanish teachers as well as a wealth of information about the area.

upon arrival in orio, we had a snack and swam a bit before making the last stint to Zarautz before nightfall.

the moment i saw it from the hilltop i fell in love with the area, but my real affair began when i started walking the beach. kitesurfers, skaters, hippies, gypsies….i love this place.

my feet are asking for another days´s rest, and i´m more than happy to give them one in such a wonderful place. i could stay here for weeks.
