best (worst?) chocolate icing

this stuff is ridiculous.  easy and infinitely better than the stuff you buy in a tub.  of course it’s originally intended for cake, but if you want something over the top heat it up and pour it on your ice cream in lou (sp??) of hershey’s syrup.  try it. you’ll never go back.

1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup Cocoa
2 2/3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Melt butter over low heat; add cocoa, stirring constantly until smooth and slightly thickened. Remove from heat , add the vanilla set the mixture to the side to cool. It will get thick (half and hour to an hour). Then add the powdered sugar alternately with milk, beating to spreading consistency. Makes about 2 cups.
