all in a day’s work

i gave at least seven dinosaurs showers.  by the end of it there was a full-on dino lagoon in the sandbox.

levi ran over at least 3 times to notify the others of someoneorother (daddy, superman, etc.) in dire peril on the other side of the play yard.

i discovered that cornstarch feels like the sound that a fingernails on the chalkboard makes.  i’m still shivering.

ryan was asked what the weather is today.  he stood up without a word, went to the door, walked outside, looked up, came back in, closed the door, turned around, and said: “um… kinda cloudy.  kinda sunny. and a little cold.”

faber escaped from his class to tell me (and anyone else he could find) about the chameleon he found, how it sat on his arm and how it’s in his lunchbox waiting to go home and be his new pet.  later he found me in the kitchen and brought me a spider – notifying me that it was to be my new pet.  the last time he found me was to ask whether i’d seen his “crystal”.  lost pirates treasure, he says.  of course.

these are things i want to remember.  or at least be able recall by re-reading one day.
