nope, this is not something out of lord of the rings, it’s just a beautiful home in wales i stumbled upon this morning (on the internet).  it’s absolutely beautiful and the ultimate in sustainable building and living.  read about it by clicking on the link above.

    Read this post. Shared it with friends. I’m now in the process of trying to convince said friends to build one of these. Then another. Then another. Then a basketball court. Then we’ll buy a horse and start a commune.

    Seriously. I can’t believe how fantastic these houses are. One of the greatest things I’ve seen in a while.

    wow.

    i’m curious about building codes here in the US–Kentucky specifically. i wonder if we could do here what they’re doing in Wales. i need to check into it, because these houses are simply amazing.

    there’s a whole “Shire community” that’s being developed out in California somewhere. but its uber-costly, not necessarily simple and eco-friendly.
