i think sometimes that i’ve let the first rays of morning light become my best friends. i thought i enjoyed them because they were quietly beautiful, so peaceful themselves. anymore i’ve realized that i let them in because they expect nothing. and in a life where i expect much of myself and exaggerate the expectations others have for me, they might be the few moments in a day when i’m fully at peace – assure that no one is disappointed in me, because no one else is awake and able to be so.

it’s a journey, learning to balance potential with satisfaction.

Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry, the philosophy which does not laugh and the greatness which does not bow before children.
