dog diet

it’s official. this past week was my pilot week for feeding zetes a home-cooked diet. i figured out that with as much money as i’m spending on really good food for him, i might as well be buying and cooking his meals myself. especially now that i have a slow cooker at my use. HE certainly loves it and it’s been pretty darn easy, to be honest. i found this really fantastic site that makes it super easy. i haven’t gone the all-organic route with it, because the idea is to feed him really well and avoid allergies, but also to save money.  so far so good!

the reference i’ve been using to form his diet:

Well, you got me thinking. This has been in the back of my mind since our dogs get most of Joella’s super healthy leftovers she throws on the floor… I didn’t read the entire thing, but was surprised by the use of ground eggshells. Perfect solution if you compost, huh?
